Monday Musings – Fall Time (poem)

Friends, I’ve finally given in and am starting a biweekly newsletter. I post varied content across different forms of social media, and the newsletter will be a curated collection of the best posts, news about my art and writing, and any other inspiration I find in my web-travels. Please note; these newsletters will not include entire blog posts. If you’d like to subscribe for newsletter awesomeness, go >here< to sign up. And thank you!

Fall Leaves

fire, in the treetops
yellow-reds to copper greens
on the ground in heaps

I’ve held my breath
waiting for these moments
these seconds
to bathe in the sweet-warm scent
of fall leaves

enfold the scent and
feel and color
deep in my heart

lie down in the pile
warm rustling against my ear
of leathery yellow
bright blue sky overhead

  1. I signed up for the newsletter! Looking forward to reading it! I’ve wanted to create one, but I can’t figure out how to do it on Blogger (though I’m sure a quick Google search could clarify for me :)).
I am loving the photos and poetry on your Monday Musings!

Have something to say? I'd love to hear it!
